An expanded concept of accessibility is now adopted by the legislation and can be recognised in different experiences of cultural heritage fruition. One of the most important spaces in the city of Genoa is chosen as a case study. The Aula Magna of the Jesuit College, later University Palace, was built in the seventeenth century as a representative hall of a monumental building for spatial dimensions and qualities. Its decorations illustrate its centuries-old history: from the baroque frescoes of a sacred ssubject to those of the nineteenth-century, up to the twentieth- century abstract language. In this phase, we document the succession of the decorations of the vault through the preparation of a digital tool, useful for on-site or remote consultation. An explanation is provided through multimedia content: images (static and moving), simplified written and spoken textual contents, evocative sounds capable of providing spatial information, and references to devices present in physical space, such as tactile models.

Abstract
An expanded concept of accessibility is now adopted by the legislation and can be recognised in different experiences of cultural heritage fruition. In this contribution we want to show the application of an approach that overcomes the forced cataloguing of people and, by reversing the point of view, offers a variety of communication channels to allow each user to find the most suitable and effective one for themselves. An explanation is provided through multimedia content: images (static and moving), simplified written and spoken textual contents, evocative sounds capable of providing spatial information, and references to devices present in physical space, such as tactile models.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
