Gli strumenti della rappresentazione per l’astronomia culturale: il caso del Mausoleo di Galla Placidia

The interesting results of the research conducted on the Mausoleum of Teodorico (Incerti, Lavoratti, Iurilli 2017), have fuelled the desire to in-ves¬tigate the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia in depth, uncovering the reasons for its form, its measurements, its proportions and possible archaeoastronomic characteristics through surveys and drawing. In the past, the building has been object of a great number of studies analysing its historical, artistic and technological characteristics through different survey and restauration campaigns over time. Today, we have elaborated 3D models for the visualization of the native morphology and the astronomic events, but also for the multimedia communication of the scientific content.
