I cacciatori-raccoglitori del Riparo di Biarzo: l’industria litica dei livelli epigravettiani e mesolitici

The Biarzo Shelter (Riparo di Biarzo) is one of the main sites located in north-eastern Italy covering the time span between the end of the Pleistocene and the beginning of the Holocene. The lithic industry from the Late Epigravettian level (SU 5) has been the object of several studies based on different approaches: typological, functional and techno-economical. The latter aimed at reconstructing raw material provisioning and technical systems is here presented for the first time. Otherwise lithic artefacts from the Mesolithic Stratigraphic Units (SSUU 4, 3B and 3A) have been studied only from a typological viewpoint.
