Alveolar deficiency is among the most common skeletal deformity after mandibular trauma and teeth loss. A combined recovery of missing bone and soft tissue is mandatory. Osteogenesis distraction increase simultaneously the volume of bone and soft tissue. After distraction the area is then suitable for implants and prosthetic rehabilitation. The Authors report a case of alveolar reconstruction by axial vertical osteogenesis distraction. Notes of surgical technique and results are presented and discussed.
