The Spanish School of History and Archaeology in Rome, established in 1910, just turned one hundred years. This volume is published to celebrate this event, with the aim of stopping to look at the past, to rethink critically the present and to invite to a reflection on the hopes and expectations of the immediate future. Through the internal and external look of their characters, it is suggested the readers a multiplicity of perspectives and a broad profile, as the knowledge society and life which extends along the XX and XXI centuries. One hundred years of history can offer a huge plurality of issues in which the everyday life, politics and science are inextricably intertwined and are reflected in this work.

Abstract
