The aim of this research is to improve the organizational and educational interventions for blind and visually impaired students. To this end, two prototypes of multimedia lessons have been developed: a lesson concerning Humanities subjects (History of the Theatre) and a lesson concerning Healthcare and Medical issues (Physiotherapy). The prototypes have been tested on a representative sample of visually imparied students. The idea has been to create accessible and functioning models of multimedia lessons and at the same time to write guidelines for teachers of these disciplinary areas. The guidelines are useful to make visual and multimedia contents accessible to a visually impaired student. Indeed, these parameters cannot be arbitrarily chosen by teachers, but it is necessary to follow certain rules. Here I present a description of the research, from the planning to the doing.
