Abstract
Following S.Cavell's reading of Wittgenstein's writings, there is nowadays a widespread tendency to emphasize the ethical tone of Wittgenstein's philosophical work and to identify it with what is taken to be the rediscovery and acceptance of the "ordinary". I criticize such a tendency and try to show that it rests on a misunderstanding concerning the idea that philosophical activity requires a transformation of the philosopher's life.File in questo prodotto:
