Since the early ’90s, the EU focused the attention onto the Urban Development theme, promoting the “sustainable urban development” all over the member countries. Almost every countries started a reflection about this important topic, Great Britain focused the attention to the “urban reinassance”, combining sustainability with the management of the real estate specualtion. By setting up the CABE and consequently a new process for the quality in architectures and urban projects, GB started a new era. The main innovation introduced by the CABE, was to consider the development process a complex operating system and not a symplex nor a linear system one. Thanks to the innovations made up in the last 10 years, positive consequence could be find in most of the new urban projects, either new neighbourhood or renovation, pointing out the relationship between the CABE approach and the direct consequence.
