This paper concerns the analysis of the relationship between the threshing process in an axial flow harvesting machine and its vibro-acoustic behaviour. Several indoor and outdoor measurements are performed in various operational conditions in order to evaluate their influence on the vibration response of the threshing unit. The test results have been used to identify how the vibration and sound generations are related to the crop distribution during the threshing process. By using different signal processing tools it could be possible to analyse the link between sound/vibration and crop distribution in threshing machines. The main original contribution of the paper concerns the use of vibro-acoustic signal as an effective way for monitoring the harvesting process.

Abstract
This paper concerns the analysis of the relationship between the threshing process in an axial flow harvesting machine and its vibro-acoustic behaviour. Several indoor and outdoor measurements are performed in various operational conditions in order to evaluate their influence on the vibration response of the threshing unit. The test results have been used to identify how the vibration and sound generations are related to the crop distribution during the threshing process. By using different signal processing tools it could be possible to analyse the link between sound/vibration and crop distribution in threshing machines. The main original contribution of the paper concerns the use of vibro-acoustic signal as an effective way for monitoring the harvesting process.I documenti in SFERA sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
