We report preliminary results on the performance of the X-ray apparatus built to calibrate the X-ray monitor Jem-X aboard the INTEGRAL satellite for gamma-ray astronomy. Jem-X is based on a position sensitive xenon detector operative from 3 to 60 KeV. It will make use of coded masks to get imaging capabilities. The X-ray apparatus allows to scan the X-ray detector with a monochromatic beam obtained with the use of a double crystal diffractometer. The current energy range of the beam can be chosen from about 10 KeV to 120 KeV while its direction is fixed independently on the photon energy

Abstract
We report preliminary results on the performance of the X-ray apparatus built to calibrate the X-ray monitor Jem-X aboard the INTEGRAL satellite for gamma-ray astronomy. Jem-X is based on a position sensitive xenon detector operative from 3 to 60 KeV. It will make use of coded masks to get imaging capabilities. The X-ray apparatus allows to scan the X-ray detector with a monochromatic beam obtained with the use of a double crystal diffractometer. The current energy range of the beam can be chosen from about 10 KeV to 120 KeV while its direction is fixed independently on the photon energyFile in questo prodotto:
