The main purpose of a 3D survey is to build a complex gerarchical data structure to observe and diagnose the metrical morphology. Each value collected with different techniques and with its specific behaviors is necessary to create the metric descriptive model. With this it is possible to analyse and render the artwork in a multiscale environment which provides an efficient tool to understand the characteristics and surfaces. In this survey project will be used four acquisition methodologies which will be used to cover all the possible issues we can encounter: • Topographic scan by GPS • Topographic survey using the Total Station • 3D survey by 3D Laser Scanner • Non conventional Photogrammetry, shooting high definition photos. All the geometrical and surface quality data will be included in a unique geometric model inside a digital database.
