Abstract

Chaos-based quasi-stationary frequency modulation has been shown to significantly reduce the electromagnetic interference due to possibly high frequency clock signals with respect to previously proposed and patented methods. Arguments are given highlighting the link between the spectrum of the modulated signal and the invariant probability density function of the chaotic system generating the modulating signal. Finally, experimental measurements are shown confirming the advantages of the proposed method and its applicability for different values of the victim apparatus bandwidth.
