In this paper we investigate an electromagnetic interferences (EMI) reduction technique based on the application of a frequency modulation to the timing signal of digital circuits or power electronic circuits. When fast modulation is used to avoid non-intentional victim to have improper behavior even when norm compliant signals are employed, peak reduction performances is a matter of concern. We present a simple scheme that gives a run-time degree of freedom in tailoring Power Density Spectrum (PDS) shape even in the case when modulation is non quasi-stationary. We discuss its performance using both simulation results and DSP-driven measures.

Abstract
In this paper we investigate an electromagnetic interferences (EMI) reduction technique based on the application of a frequency modulation to the timing signal of digital circuits or power electronic circuits. When fast modulation is used to avoid non-intentional victim to have improper behavior even when norm compliant signals are employed, peak reduction performances is a matter of concern. We present a simple scheme that gives a run-time degree of freedom in tailoring Power Density Spectrum (PDS) shape even in the case when modulation is non quasi-stationary. We discuss its performance using both simulation results and DSP-driven measures.I documenti in SFERA sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
